The kids learned about surrealism and Magritte. They colored their background to look like Magritte's painting and then chose which object they felt best represented them to color and glue in place of the apple in front of their face. I helped draw the object they chose, they colored with crayons, cut and glue. The children were five and six years old in Kindergarten in public school.
